The 14th March 2016 saw the 25th anniversary of the release of the Birmingham Six. Perhaps the most famous ‘miscarriage of justice’ in legal history. They were not alone then and they are not alone now. There are many innocent men and women languishing in prison who urgently need our help to turn the excruciatingly slow wheels of justice in their favour. The case of the Craigavon 2, Brendan McConville and John-Paul Wootton, is one such case and their conviction must be overturned. We at London Celtic Punks are fully behind the Justice For The Craigavon 2 campaign. We cannot let a miscarriage of justice to this scale ever happen again.
“Hopefully this miscarriage of justice can be over turned and this nightmare of suffering for us and our families ended. However, after the experience we have already had we do not have a great deal of confidence in the criminal justice system, hence, we are asking you, the public, to follow the course of our appeal and to see for yourself the manner in which information is dealt with and how ‘justice’ is being administered in your name. Let’s not wait 15 – 20 years to deal with a miscarriage of justice, let us do so now”
Brendan Mc Conville and John Paul Wootton.
